The old railway is gone now—but not entirely forgotten.

The vineyard of Bodega Urqo still carries its memory in silence. Beneath the vines, scattered along the rows, lie the durmientes—the wooden sleepers that once supported the tracks. Weathered by sun, wind, and time, they remain as quiet witnesses to a different era. The wine takes its name from them: Los Durmientes—“the sleepers.”

Los Durmientes Malbec from Valle de Uco presents a deeply expressive wine characterized by a graphite-tinged nose with gentle floral hints that add elegance and complexity.
