Solovino - The Company
Solovino was incorporated in Kenya in 2017 by its 3 directors from Kenya, Argentina and Uk with an aim to bringing affordable and good value wines to Kenya; primarily. The company is an Importer and E-commerce company with links to some of the biggest and best producers in the world - which can be seen in our section on "meet the winemakers". Over the past 4 years the portfolio has grown to include wines from all over the world & growing partnerships with international suppliers ;we have been able to source premium and fine wines at affordable prices coupled with the integrity and skills of some very world renowned winemakers, whom can be seen in our portfolio
Solovino was the first e-commerce wine company to have its own APP which was developed in the US in 2019, this can be downloaded from our "Solovino APP section".
Since 2017 we have regularly updated our systems and securities within local and international legal frameworks to ensure customers are receiving a safe and upto date shopping platform to purchase products.
COVID -19 POLICY
We have implemented a policy and it is available to view in our terms of service - to maintain hygiene, safety and integrity of products. All products are handled by only one person, every day the boxes and bottles are sprayed with an industrial sprayer of pure surgical spirit, All drivers spray the boxes again prior to contact-less delivery
INTERNET SAFETY
We have upgraded our payment system, none of our customers banking details are saved on our / nor our payment providers system. They are encrypted at highest levels of PCI DSS system.
CHARITY AND COMMUNITY SERVICE
Solovino is always looking to give back to the community and has projects with friends of dagoretti children, Innetwork and Kibera children, Friends of Nairobi National Park, Running for Rangers to name a few. In 2020 we supported a group of musicians to put Kibera kids into schools as well as supplying long-lasting fresh water sanitation containers to impoverished communities in and around Nairobi

Paolo Francescon - Kenyan born
DirectorPaolo has more than 50 years experience in East Africa working on Building and trading projects. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the company in international business, finance and project management.
Ivan West- Kenyan born
DirectorIvan has traded products and travelled all over the world as a professional taster for the best part of 20 years. Ivan heads up the tasting, procurement and business development side of the company. Our resident sommelier and head of sales is always looking for new and exciting wines to bring to kenya.
Emilia Medina
DirectorA logistics specialist with over 20 years experience in international logistics and freight forwarding all over Europe and Africa. An integral part of the team to co-ordinate efficient supply lines and distribution.
Mandela Koyier
Operations ManagerMandela comes from a background of warehousing with Cargill, distribution, project management and systems analysis from Safaricom bringing an analytical dimension to the team
Edward Ngereri
Warehouse OperatorEddie has been working with Solovino for 2 years and has a good understanding of different wine styles and distribution, co-ordinating the incoming and outgoing of products with the rest of the team
Jimmy Mwakizae
Warehouse OperatorJimmy has been with the company since 2018 and has since gained his driving licence and works hard with team to deliver products efficiently and quickly to customers. He is a keen footballer; playing for a local team and active church-goer.
